whats the earliest (safest) age a female can get spayed?

people say to get your dog spayed around 6-7 months before the dogs first heat cycle. for larger breed dogs i'd say around 9-10 months.

Just depends on who you ask, I suppose. Some say to wait until after the first heat, some say right before, some say as early as 3-4 months. There are pros and cons to each.
