Help! My yorkie doesn't feel good! Hi I am a new yorkie owner. My yorkie Patrick is 7 months now and he has never acted like this. He is being really tired and sluggish, which is REALLY not normal for him because he is usually bouncing off the walls and loves to play. He is really warm so I think he has a fever. He just lays on my lap and looks so sad. He's been drinking A LOT of water. I don't know what to do. or whats wrong with him. I just want him to be happy again and feel better. Its sunday so I can't take him to the vet. PLEASE HELP! Thank you!

Welcome to the site PreviousPatrick! Has Patrick been eating? Or did he go out and eat something yucky or bad the past few days? You could try giving him a little bit of water with some sugar in it if he shakes at all. My Yoda shakes sometimes and the sugar water helps.

Well I did just get him some new dog treats that I stuffed inside his new Konig ball toy but I don't know if thats it. He was shaking earlier today and I gave him some Nutra-cal. How many treats are too much? He just started acting this way today... and I just started giving him the treats friday. Thanks for helping!

| I would have Patchy at the vet when the doors open! About 2cc of the Nurti-Cal should have made him perk up if it was a sugar drop! Please keep us updated ... BTW welcome to YorkieTalk!!

Those symptoms could be serious, so I agree with Bettyeanne.....get him to the vet ASAP. Insist on seeing the vet on an emergency basis..... And please do let us know what the vet finds and how little Patrick is doing. Welcome to YorkieTalk! We look forward to having you and a happy, healthy Patrick here!

Patrick seems back to normal! Well, this morning Patch was running everywhere and playing just find. He's eatting well. Maybe he just had a stomach ache yesterday. I dunno. When I get up I play with him and then I have to leave for school. He hates when I leave. I can hear him barking when I get in my car through the window. lol. But I put on the radio for him and it seems to calm him b/c he thinks others are in the room. My parents take him out to play while i'm not here too. Well let me go. I have shreds of paper towels to go pick up in the hall. Patchy is going to town with that. Oh, I tried giving him the sugar water like you said I don't know if it made a difference. He drank some. Then I wasn't sure how much sugar to put. So I had to taste it first..lol. I give patrick cold water from our kentwood water dispenser, in a paper cup.... HE LOVES IT and he thinks he's a big boy. Thanks you all for your help!

Aww, good to hear! I like his nickname, Patch! We leave on classical music when Yoda is home alone, he loves it and it's soothing. We used to leave Animal Planet on the TV for him, but some of the animals angered him and he would bark too much because of it.
