| Yorkie Weight PLEASE HELP!! I Just bought "teddy Bear" from a local breeder. I was very careful not to buy from one of those "puppy farms". The Breeder said the mom was 6LBS and the dad was 4LBS. She told me "teddy Bear" would be about 4LBS like his daddy. I just took him to the vet today and he weighed in at 2.2lbs. My vet told me he would probably be 10LBS as an adult! I am very upset as I was thinking of breeding him. Who is wrong, the breeder or the vet? Thanks in advance for your help! Amanda |

| How old is he? I was told to double the weight at 12 weeks. Sebastian was 1lb. 12 oz. at 12 weeks so he should be between 3.5-4 lbs. full grown but it is only a guess. There is really no real way to know wexcept to wait and see. |

| How old is he at 2.2lbs? There is a breeder on the site that has a great weight chart. I think everyone will tell you it's kinda a guessing game. 1lb or 20lb you gotta love them.

| Thanks for the chart. My puppy must be on the Large size if the chart doesn't even go higher than his weight right now! |

| I have changed the site here is the new address for the chart its only an approximation.... 9 weeks and 2.2 lbs would be about 5 lbs you have to convert your weigh into oz 16 x 2 + 2 = 34 oz http://theroyaldoghouse.com/puppygrowthchart.htm
