Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | How old is he? My guy was neutered as a 5-month old, and his humping diminished but didn't stop. In fact, as a 2-year-old, he still humps occasionally.

| I've read that they will still mark also if they started marking before they were neutered. When he is humping something, tell him to stop. give him a Dog Whisperer Nip and let him know this is unacceptable behavior. |

| Jeanie, give Stanley a few weeks before you worry about it. It can take that long for his hormones to level out.

| After a dog is neutered, it takes a full 30 days for the hormones to cycle out of his system. Give him a few weeks and he should stop this behavior. If he doesn't stop after 30 days, then scold him whenever he does hump something. I got Hobbs neutered at 5.5 months...he humped a little right after the surgery, but after a couple of weeks, he has never humped anything again. |

| Last night, I went downstairs for a little bit to clean up before I went to bed. When I came back, Stanley was humping his bed again this time at full speed...I guess he decided to wait until I was gone! Anyway..I scolded him right away and noticed that he was fully erect. I took his bed away and gave him only a blanket to sleep on for the night. Well, before I went to sleep I noticed that the erection was going down but it was not completely away...there was still about an inch and a half of the red part of his penis sticking out (i'm trying to describe this to the best of my ability). I woke up this morning to find that it's still sticking out, a little less, but about an inch. I don't know if I should be worried or not. I just thought it would've gone down within a few hours...

| Sounds ALL male to me!! Joey did the same thing, only right after surgery. He doesn't hump very often, but when he does I make sure he knows that I don't like it one bit! |
