| Spaying? I was just wondering around what age and weight is the best and the safest for spaying my baby girl? She had a vet visit today and the next time she will have to go is for that so i was just wandering what you guys thought? i've heard six months ? but was wondering what weight ?

| they say around 6months to help avoid the 1st heat... there are supposidly health benefits to doing it before the 1st heat also my vet likes them to be at least 5lbs.... but i suppose that isnt always possible with these lil ones in my case it is but i am not sure how big yours is/will be |

| Anyone Else ? what if you babys full grown weight probably wont even be that much Gracie is 19 weeks and 2.4 lbs

| I honestly don't think there is a "magic" number or weight. It really is just what your vet feels comfortable doing. Most vets won't spay until 6 months of age. |

| Mine was spayed by the breeder a little before 4 months and it was all done and healed when I brought her home.

| Layla just got spayed today. she is 5 1/2 months and not quite 3 lbs. My doctor suggested before 6 months. When she gets home i can tell you how it went *fingers crossed*. |

| My vet will do it as long as they're at least 2 lbs. Pixie was 5 months and a hair over 2 lbs... |
