| Mo went to the vet today: relieved and disgusted Mo has conjunctivitis (sp?) hence the weepy eyes. He is on antibiotics for his throat/teeth, and ointment for his eyes. I got him up to date on all his vaccines. According to the records that came with him he has only ever had rabies and distemper. So I got him tested for heartworm and lymes. Both neg. so he is not on a heartworm regimen--as are all my dogs and had his first lymes shot. His ears are surprisingly clean, testicles are down, his lungs were clear and the noise he makes is just the reverse sneezing. He did it while we were there and my vet confirmed it. Now for the part that breaks my heart and disgusts me. I never thought to ask about his teeth when I pepper his previous owner with questions. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered if I had known then because I fell in love with him. His breath is foul--noticed that right away. I read his vet records and it had noted about not losing all his baby teeth. Grrrrrrrrrrr, he has got severe calculus and gingival changes w/ pus. Now how disgusting is that???? Poor little guy. So he has to go under and have some major work done and some teeth pulled. He weighs 4.6 pounds but is so tiny. Not that I think that is big I bet he is not a foot long. He so compact and just has the sweetest personality. I just feel so bad that he must feel so miserable. <sigh> Just thought I would give an update.

| I'm so glad that little Mo is with you now and will get the dental work and other care he needs. I also got one who at 3 years old still had baby teeth! I knew in advance, but it's still a shame that people don't properly take care of their dogs. |
