| Losing puppy teeth I joined this group after finding the site looking for advise on puppy teeth, and boy have I learned a lot. Jack lost a bottom canine tooth last night, and looking in his mouth it looks like he has all of his adult teeth, he is just 6 months old. Is this OK, most of you have said that you have had to have your puppies teeth extracted. I should probably be glad that I don't have that expense, it just seems too early to have lost them all. I have only seen two actually out. (naturally I have saved them in his puppy book). Thanks for any input.

| I think what you are talking about (with the extraction)...many Yorkies get double sets of teeth. Baxter had some double teeth and the vet took them out.

| Thank you, yes that is what I was asking about mainly, he did have a double set of canines, and the puppy one fell out last night. Is 6 months old young to have the adult teeth or is that normal?

| Yorkie Teeth Carib started losing his baby teeth at about 5 months. He had a double set of canines (bottom jaw) - the baby teeth just would not come out. We had them extracted when he was neutered at 6 months. Poor pup - got it from both ends!!
