| paw looks raw Latte's been licking a hind paw for a couple days. I thought it was allergies, but it seems now that this particular paw hurts. She's licked it so much it's pink and looks sore. what can I put on it to make it feel better? |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My Pom does that all the time. I have an ointment from the vet called Panalog cream, but I just found a big sore on her neck and one on her private area so I went to petsmart and bought an antibacterial ointment so I am going to try that.

| Usually with allergies it's the front paws they lick. I would inspect every inch of the paw for a splinter, thorn, cut, etc. I would also keep her from licking it which will only make it worse by putting an infant sock on it. |

| paw Thanks, I'll try the ointment and the sock. I gave her some benadryl (children's) and it helps a little. I had her in her carrier and I thought that would be a good time to put ointment on,since she can't lick it. We have to go to the vet pretty soon anyway for shot, but I think she's ok. I'll try to get a closer look. It dawned on me earlier that when we were taking a walk yesterday she really jumped! I think now that she might've gotten bit by an ant. I think I'm putting way too much thought into this. She seems fine. I think I may be addicted to YorkieTalk! |
