| Black spots on skin??? Marley has these black spots on his tummy, I don't know what they are. They sort of look like it was once blood? I'm a little worried.. they don't seem to hurt him at all when I touch them. So I guess they aren't bothering him, I just want to know if its anything serious. They're pretty tiny, maybe the size of a freckle, but some are sort of big. Buddy used to get these sometimes. I don't know what they are? He didn't have so many before.. Does anyone know? Or have an idea? I can take some pictures if you want. They're on his underside on his stomach & around his manly-ness. (not on it though) My mom's giving him a bath right now. Maybe bugs are biting him? Anyone know?

| Trixie has little spots like that from itching. She's got allergies and when they flare up she'll start licking and scratching some areas on her tummy and side. Could that be the case?

Thank you though, I will keep liver spots in mind, do young dogs get these too? Marley is only 2 years old.. He is also going to the vet soon for a checkup.

| No problemo! I'll try to keep Marley from licking/itching/chewing himself there

| My Yorkies have had some freckle like spots on their tummies too. They don't wash off and hydrocortisone doesn't seem to help and they're not itchy. I have been to the vet more than once with no diagnosis. It seems like they come in the summer and seem to come from their pores. In your first post you said they look like dried blood. Take a wet Q-tip or papertowel and if it turns brown/red and looks like dried blood it is probably flea dirt. |

I don't think that's it.. They aren't in the right spots for nipples.
