| Eating poop is normal...believe it or not. Your furbaby should outgrow it. Mine did. Thank God! Good luck!

Sissy outgrew it, too. She did it till she was about 6 months old. I think I helped her outgrow it cause when I would see her do it, she immediately got her teeth brushed!!

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i posted this in another thread about poop eating. its tells you why they do it and how to get her to stop. Dogs can eat poop for a couple reasons. 1) they are lacking nutrients in their diet. what kind of food does Chloe get? 2) Female dogs are more likely to eat poop then males because they are cleaners. Females likes to keep their territory clean at all times so they'll eat their poop to keep their yard clean. ALot of times, if your yard is not fenced off from your neighbors yard your dog will choose to go poop on the neighbors lawn so that she doesn't mess her territory. 3) dogs are dogs and they do gross doggie things and we will never understand why. LOL There are a couple ways to get her to stop eating poop. 1) take her outside on a leash and right after she poops walk her away from it. If she tries to eat it give her a short sharp "NO" and give a little sharp jolt on the leash (since she's a little dog you don't want to do it too hard, but hard enough so she gets the picture). If you do this for a while she'll eventually get the picture and stop eating the poop. 2) immediately pick up the poop after she does it so she doesn't get a chance to eat it. 3) after she poops, sprinkle hot sauce on it and let her eat it. it will taste horrible and she most likely won't do it again once she realizes all poop will taste horrible. 4) there are a couple products you can buy to sprinkly over her food. tastes good in the food, but tastes horrible in the poop. hope this info helps

| I've tried everything too, walking them away from it, using Forbid and one other kind (don't remember name of it) but nothing has worked. I just pick up right away. I did buy some Accent (meat tenderizer), but haven't used it yet. I can't remember if I'm suppose to put it in their food or sprinkle it on the poop and I'm not sure how much I'm suppose to use. So until I find out for sure, I won't use it. I've heard it is suppose to work, but I'm not holding my breath.
