| What is the best food for Yorkies? Hi, I would like to know which dry food is the best one for my yorkie. She is 9 months old. I have been giving her Eukanuba. How many times should she eat per day? |

| If you can get your little one to eat one of those high premium foods like Nutro or Wellness, I think that would be ideal. However, Royal Canin is supposed to be very good also. You can read the recent thread here on Royal Canin. Obviously feed him the highest quality that he will eat. I met a rep from Nutro in Petco Saturday and when I showed her the RC bag, she said the ingredients were good (some chemcials though). I also mix in a little wet food. I dont like the idea of just dry food. Right now he's getting Little Caesar puppy .. just a tsp each meal. |

| My yorkie is 8mo. old and we just switched him to adult food (there is a forum on here explaining why, but basically he didn't need all the fat in puppy food anymore since he's full grown. Many small breeds switch earlier than a year.) We feed Sully Nutro Natural Choice Small Bites Lamb & Rice meal - in the lime green bag. He really loves it. We decided against Royal Canin because of its high fat content. Some tiny yorkies are pickier eaters and could use the Yorkshire food but Sully is a healthy 9 pound boy and isn't too picky.

| If you want more information on High Quality foods (i don't think Eukanuba is high quality sorry ) Canidae - www.canidae.com Innova/InnovaEVO - www.naturapets.com <-- highly recommended Artemis Osopure - www.artemiscompany.com i currently am feeding Oreo and Ginger artemis osopure. when they were on purina i switched them to iams (yuck!) and then to Eukanuba. I've even tried Nutro but not for long since that's junk too. I then put them on Canidae which i saw immediate results with their coat and health. I tried Innova, which i love a lot.. but they seemed to have a hard time eating it, so now they are on Artemis Osopure for Small Breeds. it's a holistic approach to dog food. no hormones added. Oreo and Ginger seem to love it a lot! because they are small and easy to eat. if you don't know what kind of ingredients to stay away from, or stuff like that.. please go here: http://www.mordanna.com/dogfood/ |

| I just switched Diesel from Eukanuba to Natural Balance Duck and Potato. The ingredients look so much better to me and Diesel seems to really like his new food. I hope you find a food that baby likes. Also I feed Diesel t Reagan |

| Honey eats California Natural (made by Natura, the same people who make Innova) and has always loved it. We mixed it with a little Mighty Dog when she was younger for the extra calories but now she eats it with two green beans and loves it. The high quality stuff is better for the decreased poop production (which is a nice benefit). Some people don't like to buy the expensive stuff but it doesn't seem like too big of a deal when she only goes through one bag in like 3-4 months! |

| Royal Canin 28 is specifically made for Yorkshire Terriers. It is good for the coat as well. Heidi is a picky eater but when we switched her to RC she loved the stuff.

| Well, I've tried everything under the sun. The challenge is getting 11 Yorkie's bellys to agree with the same food..ugh! Dreamy has the most sensitive tummy of all..I tried Nutro's, my gang pooped too much..lol..I tried Royal Canine their poop was smooshy and stuck to their butts..I found that Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul is the best..I did mix in some NB Potato & Duck formula and they loved it. What I personally like about NB is that they have a breeder program where I can send coupons for free bag home with my puppy parents. Don't laugh, but I tasted it too..it's not bad for dog food .. Hugs, Irene |
