| Dead Dogs and Cats Are In "PREMIUM" Pet Foods! AAFCO officials have know about it for years and have done NOTHING to stop it. We should be able to read a pet food label and know what the "PREMIUM" food we are buying contains. But today there are no laws governing what the pet food industry puts into a food be listed on the label in a way buyers can KNOW what is in that food. In 1998 Herschel Pendell was the president of AAFCO. He appeared in a King 5 Seattle Washington television news interview and was asked if he could tell if a pet food contains euthanized pets by reading the label . . . he responded with: "If the ingredient say's meat or bone meal, you don't know if it is cattle, or sheep, or horse, . . . or fluffy." | I think that you never realy know whats in dog food.Iv heard people go on and on about eukanuba etc,but whos to say that the ingredients on the side of the package of other brands are so wonderful? Acording to alot of websites, dog food is made of bones,hooves,skin..etc,all the left overs of meat, then just corn,fillers..etc.Kibble smells awful,no matter what brand you buy..sometimes I swear that buying kibble is just like buying shoes..you pay for the brand name, not the ingredients. If its Hills, its expensive,if its eukanuba, its cheaper..but whos to say that hills doont use rubbish to make their food too? Mine eat eukanuba and it works fine for them..Iv tried hills,Iv tried RC and to me they all seem unedible..lol.Years ago dogs lived for years and years on table scraps and left overs, and no one had any problems.Today what do our dogs get through kibble? Allergies, skin infections, tummy upsets, hair loss...etc etc.Its all junk because really we dont have any idea whats in that so called food.It does give you something to think about |

| This makes me so sick. I don't know how anyone could treat ANY animal in a cruel manner. I wish I was stronger and could fight for this cause..but i seriously just cry when i see or read this stuff! I don't know how to make myself not cry? I'm too emotional. I'm so glad there are REALLY strong people out there who can fight for the ones who can not speak for themselves! THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM! |

| Thats what I said Iv had dogs all my life and as a child my mom never bought dog food for our dogs..they would get yummy left overs or my mom would boil meat for them etc,and they were always healthy, happy and beautiful..NOT OVER WEIGHT at all. They all lived for years and the same goes for my nans dogs and my great nans dogs..all healthy. But now dogs can get alergic reactions to kibble!!?? The can get skin alergies, hair loss,diarrea..???? My point is,if kibble is so wonderful and so healthy, why can it have second effects on the dog?? No matter what it says on the side of any package,in my opinion its all chemical and all rubbish.Of course I give my babies kibble,I want to keep their teeth healthy..but I dont like it at all which is why I treat them to human treats every now and again. After they dehidreate the so called "human grade" meat (which I dont beleive that they use),and all the veggies, then add the chemicals and conservatives, its anything but healthy and far from tasty...Thats jmho |

| I totally agree, and they REALLY enjoy it too..not like with the kibble which they only eat because theres nothing else.Jess has had strange reactions to kibble before and thats when I started to wonder what on earth was in the stuff! It was hills and she began to chew her feet. They are now on eukanuba but I am seriously thinking of starting them on a tasty home made healthy diet where I know exactly what they are eating because I have picked out the ingredients my self. |
