| Dandruff! Are there any products out there to help with dandruff? I only bathe Bella once every 3-4 weeks as the vet suggested but she seems to itch really bad and is constantly scratching herself

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Use some neutragena t-gel shampoo on her or maybe a good oatmeal shampoo. At first I used oatmeal on lex and now that it's gone once in a while I use the neturagena on him.

| Dandruff and the itchies could be caused by a number of things... Something in their environment, products you put on her, the food she eats, parasites... What kind of shampoo / conditioner do you use? What kind of food is she eating? Has she been checked for parasites? |

| Hobbs also used to have bad itchy, dry skin and dandruff. The food I was feeding him had corn in it (which many say causes dry skin), so I changed his food to Chicken Soup (which doesn't have corn) and started using Missing Link supplement, which I sprinkle on his food. Since then, he hasn't had anymore skin problems! |

| If it not food related then if I were you I would go to the vet and ask for a special shampoo to help. We always used oatmeal and others like it and it worked for a little bit but after awhile it stopped working and the flakes came back. So we went to our vet and got a special shampoo Hylit or something like that, it has fatty acids in it and no soap, it smells really good and it works so great, we use it on all the dogs now!! I have also heard that using selsom blue works great on your dogs that have dandruff, my groomer uses it all the time and it works.

| Thanks for all the ideas! I picked up some honey and oatmeal shampoo from my vet and he also gave me this medicine to put in her food once a day that is supposed to help. Hopefully I'll see some improvement in the next few weeks!

| Tiger always had so much white stuff after every bath and every brushing it was annoying. He's had it since I first bathe him . . .last Friday, I got to try Petsilk for the first time and could not believe there was NO white flakes at all. . .and his hair is so soft and silky now and smelling sooo good! The petsilk serum is definitely a MUST! It brought out the shine in my Tiger's hair. Tiger was using the CC products prior to switching to Petsilk |
