| natural balance potato & duck formula (for allergies) hey guys, as i have stated in my previous posts about what to do for tyler who suffers from itching,i went to petco today and browsed the ingriedients on all the dog foods. almost all seem to have corn sources. especially the nutro he was on before. this product i am told works wonders and should cease the bothersome itching. im going to include a link to the site of this food and you can read the testimonials listed there. does anyone else use this food? |

| No I don't use the food. But sophie has been itching really bad. The vet gave me some ear drops and that did not work. But know she is loosing her hair she is itching so bad. I have her on California Natural. Which has no corn in it. But has not worked. I not sure what to do now. Good luck

| food for allergies I will look at the potato and duck formula. I know which kinds you're talking about-it's in those weird tube thingies, right? I found an Authority lamb and rice which has no corn that I could see, and I use a Safeway brand beef canned food that has no poultry products. But I'll have to look at the ing. for corn. I hadn't checked. She seems to like the dry food. Don't you feel a little anal reading every single ingredient list at the pet store? I was in Petsmart for 30 minutes. I gave Latte 1/4 tab of prednisone this morning and 2/4 of a child's benedryl this afternoon. She doesn't seem to be scratching or chewing her paws tonight...so far. We'll see. (fingers crossed for luck!) |

| I haven't had the itching problem with Buddy, but he does have a really sensitive stomach - the only thing that worked for him is Natures Variety "Raw Instinct" - it's a dry food that he loves and it's just really good ingredients - no potato, wheat or corn, and it has this "probiotic" coating on it that is supposed to be really good. Buddy's been eating it for a few months now, his coat is shiny and he loves it. Here is the link for it: http://www.naturesvariety.com/content.lasso?page=1404 Maybe it will help? |

Balance is full of human quality meats and veggies. It works well with my Buddy he loves it. Hope it works for your Tyler. I did some research on the brand and it has a good name and is a high quality dog food. They also have the treats. | |

| Merricks. I don't know anything about it but heard it was a good product. I have also used Royal Canin in the past but the corn in it bothered me for the price. So I switched to Natural Balance. So far so good. Good luck with your choice. |
