Question???? Lexy has been having runny stools since changed her from Iams to Royal Canine. Do any of you think this is the reaon? She seems to feel great! Should I change her food back? I really don't want to support the Iams company, but I want what's best for the Baby. Let me know your thoughts, please! Elizabeth

Hard to say. Did you slowly change out her food? Some dogs has really sensitive stomachs and the sudden change of food will cause stomach upsets and running stools. Also did you know you can give a little bit of Pepto to Lexy to help with the stool?

did you change it all at once or add a little bit of new food then the rest of the old food then gradually increase? i'm not an expert but i would think if you gradually change her to the new food she should be ok but if this is what you did and her stool is runny i'm not sure. you could call the vet and ask just to be on the safe side. sorry i'm not much help. starting tomorrow i'm switching nala's food and i hope it doesn't upset her stomach but i don't think it will b/c when i got her i switch her food without gradually doing it (i didn't know i thought i was feeding her the same thing, boyfriend didn't know what he was talking about) but anyways it never upset her stomach at all. i was very surprised.

Royal Canine Puppy My Toby is also on the Royal Canine Small Puppy Food. He has similiar soft stools. I mix his food with Ekunuaba Puppy Lamb and Rice and this seems to have solved the problem. At least I can now pick them up in one piece and dispose of them. This, I know, would be a problem if messing in the house.
