| Peanut Butter Hi, Is it possible to give Diva too much Peanut Butter? She loves it and will bring me her Kong and whine and bark until I give her some. Is that bad?

| Peanut butter has a LOT of fat in it... And a ton of fat can put wear on a pups system. I would suggest getting some low fat, low sodium peanut butter, and give it to her sparingly. A little smeared in a kong goes a long way. And DON'T let her boss you around, lololol!!! Take her kong away and only give it as a special treat!

| Buy natural peanut butter (without sugar added). Maybe freezing it would slow Diva down. It is high in calories and fat so weight could be an issue. If you are giving her as much as she wants then she is probably not eating what she should be eating. Although peanut butter is a good food it can't possibly supply everything her body needs. I say fill her Kong with something else and only give a small amount of peanut butter every other day at the most. |

| Thanks for the replies. I do only give her the all natural peanut butter with only peanuts in it. She does eat her dry food and the small amount of wet food I still give her. I guess I will start trying to be more of 'the parent' and not letting her have her kong! She knows she runs this house!! Thanks!

| well... I know my babies love peanut butter! I guess sometimes I give them too much too but I have learned they only want it lately if they see me having it, lol. I think it is good for the coat but can cause the runs if you give to them too ofter or give them too much. Trust me...I learned the hard way, lol. Good luck. :-)

| My two would eat the entire jar if I allowed it...they rarely get PB because it upsets Jolene's tummy

| peanut butter i give my dogs organic peanut butter... it doesn't contain soybean oil which can sometimes upset their tummies. it's great to give their meds covered with it. easy and no problems...just a taste. |

| Peanut butter was about the only way our yorkie would take his meds. He had epilepsy since he was about 6 months and was on meds all his life (16 years) He just loved his peanut butter. Now there is a product called pill pockets. we did try that, but I think he liked peanut butter better. |
