| Samples.... I have been debating on this food for my girls for awhile now. I emailed the company and just a week later I just recieved 2 sample bags of Venison formula dog food and the lamb formula and my girls LOVE it! My problem now is....no where in my town sells it and the price with shipping for a 4.4 lb bag is 17.00! I am still looking around for a cheaper price on the shipping area! if you want more info you can go to: natureslogic.com

| Just an observation: I haven't heard of the 3rd ingredient - Montmorillonite. I did a search and found this: montmorillonite 1. n. [Geology] ID: 345 [(1/2Ca,Na)0.7(Al,Mg,Fe)4(Si,Al)8O20(OH)47nH20] A type of smectite clay mineral that tends to swell when exposed to water. Montmorillonite forms through the alteration of silicate minerals in alkaline conditions in basic igneous rocks, such as volcanic ash that can accumulate in the oceans. Montmorillonite is a component of bentonite commonly used in drilling fluids. See: bentonite, clay, igneous, mineral, silica, smectite 2. n. [Drilling Fluids] ID: 2106 A hydratable, dispersible clay mineral of the smectite group. Montmorillonite is a three-layer, expanding clay with a large surface area and high cation-exchange capacity. Na+ and Ca+2 are the typical exchangeable cations. Sodium montmorillonite, also called sodium bentonite, is a premium clay mud additive. Natural deposits are found in Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota and Utah, USA. Calcium montmorillonite is a low-yield bentonite that is more widely distributed and used in many commercial applications, including drilling mud. |

| You can check this thread for dog food scores: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64979 I didn't see Nature's Logic there but maybe it wasn't tested? I just started my boyz on Nature's Variety, which has an A+ score, and I think they're similar foods but I would have to check to be sure. I know Nature's Variety has dry and frozen, which is great...my boys love the frozen, raw medallions but I haven't switched their dry food yet...I just started switching them a couple days ago. The Nature's Variety website is: www.naturesvariety.com They have a store locator so maybe you can find it near you if you want to try that one. |

Animals in the wild eat calcium montmorillonite clay to keep their digestive tracts clean and for the naturally occurring minerals it contains. When an animal becomes sick or eats something poisonous causing them to become sick, they will often leave the herd or flock and go to an area where this calcium montmorillonite clay naturally exists and stay ? returning to the herd once their bodies heal up. This is the same clay featured on Animal Planet/Discovery Channel numerous times. What the calcium montmorillonite clay will do is bind to toxins, unfriendly bacteria, chemicals and other poisons, surrounding them and removing these toxins through the elimination process of the body. This clay will also leave behind the naturally occurring minerals and elements it contains, just the way Mother Nature intended. Calcium montmorillonite clay can be eaten every day to boost the immune system, raise the body pH, as a way to remove the toxins ingested from daily living, keep the digestive tract clean and will also leave behind over 60 essential mineral nutrients (such as calcium/magnesium for bones and teeth), just the way nature designed it. It actually sounds like something that helps aid in your dogs health. JMO

| Nature's Logic Dog Food Yes, this stuff is awesome! No cornm, wheat, rice or soy. 55% meat. Only one grain for binder purposes and they use millet which is a complex carb, low in carbs/sugar. Especially good for diabetic cats. I also feed it to my cats and they are healthy, nice coats and the food fills them up. This is the only pet food that doesn't used synthetic vitamins/minerals. They use fruits/vegetables which boots the immune system. It's also coated with digestive enzymes the kibble is small. I totally recommend it! |
