| Question about cake ingredients I was browsing the Internet and came across a recipe for a homemade dog cake. My Bachee will be turning one tomorrow so I want to bake him a cake and have a little party for him. So I was wondering is it OK to give Yorkies strained chicken baby food and plain yogurt? These are the other ingredients, but I think these are OK right?: flour baking powder margarine eggs carrots corn oil |

| Yes those are both fine. I give mine yoqurt all the time. I gave them baby food when they were younger. Good luck with your cake and party.

| Thanks. I was a little concerned about the yogurt because I thought dairy products weren't good for Yorkie tummies. |

| Yogurt is fine, but check the ingredients on the baby food. I know the meat sticks have onion in them. I have always used them for training treats (before I heard onion wasn't good for them) and I never noticed any sort of reaction and they have eaten a lot of them and my mom's malteses eat them without problems. I think it is such a small amount, especially in a cake recipe, it wouldn't do any harm, but thought I would tell you about the onions, so you could make your own decision. |
