| Interesting! The package is exactly the same! Here are the ingredients for Wellness: Flaxseed, Salmon Meal, Parsley, Dried Carrots, Dried Alfalfa Leaf, Dried Sweet Potatoes, Norwegian Kelp, Yucca Schidigera, Sprouted Green Barley, Glucosamine, Chondroitin Sulfate, Lactobacillus Plantarum, Enterococcus Faecium, Lactobacillus Casei, Lactobacillus, Acidophilus, Chicory Extract, Rice Bran, Fish Oil, Garlic. Vitamin E, Beta-Carotene, Potassium Chloride, Zinc Proteinate (a chelated source of Zinc), Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Vitamin E Supplement, Copper Proteinate (a chelated source of Copper), Copper Sulfate, Niacin Supplement, Manganese Sulfate, Manganese Proteinate ( a chelated source of Manganese), Sodium Selenite, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Acetate, Riboflavin Supplement, Calcium Iodate, Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Thiamine Mononitrate, Folic Acid. Guaranteed Analysis Crude Protein Not Less Than 20.0% Crude Fat Not Less Than 10.0% Crude Fiber Not More Than 10.0% Moisture Not More Than 10.0% Linolenic Acid (Omega 3) 1100 Mg/Tbsp. (3 Tsp.) Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) 220 Mg/Tbsp. (3 Tsp.) Here are the ingredients for Missing Link Canine Formula: Flax Seed, Blackstrap Molasses, Rice Bran, Primary Dried Yeast, Sunflower Seed, Freeze Dried Liver, Dehydrated Alfalfa, Dried Carrot, Freeze Dried Bone, Dried Fish Meal, Freeze Dried Oyster, Sprouted Green Barley, Dried Kelp, Lecithin, Garlic, and Yucca Schidigera Extract. Guaranteed Analysis: Crude Protein (not less than) 18% Crude Fat (not less than) 28% Crude Fiber (not less than) 10% Moisture (not more than) 10% Minimum per tsp = 3g: Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) 150mg Linolenic Acid (Omega 3) 370mg 40 calories per tablespoon of Missing Link In side by side comparison, it almost looks like Wellness is better! It adds more vitamins to the diet, but if your pup is eating a good quality food, they are probably getting the vitamins they need. I would love to see a pup nutrition expert comment on this. Read the ingredients carefully to ensure your pup doesn't have any allergies to any of them, but in reading this, I would not feel bad about giving my dog the Wellness. And you got a great deal on it, too!

| Other info Found this too, thought this was pretty interesting. It lists the ingredients in Missing Link and the reasons they are beneficial to dogs. Alfalfa (Medicago Sativa) One of nature's most powerful and nutritious plants. The human body absorbs nutrition from this source easily and uses it effectively to clean out unhealthy cholesterol deposits, even when cholesterol is being ingested in large amounts. Alfalfa is rich in: Chlorophyll, octacosanol, beta-carotene, amino acids and is fifty percent protein! Blackstrap Molasses Blackstrap molasses is a food concentrate. It is a nutrient-rich food, not a sugar. It is one of the richest sources of minerals and vitamins found in sugar beets and sugar cane. The commercial processing of these sugars leaves us with a calorie-rich, nutrient-poor sugar product. Blackstrap molasses is the good part, with only a little sugar and lots of minerals and vitamins. Blackstrap Molasses is rich in: Iron and calcium, and is also known as the richest natural source of potassium! Bone Meal Bone meal comes from beef and is a biological source of calcium, magnesium, zinc and other minerals that improve overall health. It provides protection against bone degeneration. Bone Meal is rich in: Vitamin D, calcium, magnesium Carrot Carrot is a well-known "star" for health! Carrot is packed with beta-carotene (provitamin A) and is probably the most famous phytonutrient. There is substantial evidence that suggest strong cancer and heart disease preventative effects. It contains 42 health benefiting molecules, including carotenoids, coumarins, flavonoids, terpenes, phenolic acids, phthalides. Carrot is rich in: Beta-Carotene, vitamin C. Fishmeal Used mainly in animal formulations for palatability, it has high amino acid content, and proteins essential for optimum health in animals. Flax Seed (Linum usitatissimum) Flax is the richest vegetable source of Omega 3 essential fatty acids. It is also the richest known source of lignans, (a class of phytonutrients that have anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-carcinogenic properties. It is an exceptional source of dietary fiber, both soluble, and insoluble. Flax is high in boron, a trace mineral that helps the body hold onto calcium! The National Cancer Institute has chosen flax as one of the first five primary foodstuffs for study to determine health benefits of natural foods. From the Omega 3 essential fatty acids, the body produces series 3 prostaglandin's. These act on the cellular level in a variety of disease fighting ways, that include anti-clotting actions in the blood stream, anti-inflammatory responses that alleviate or prevent such auto-immune diseases such as: arthritis, psoriasis, and asthma. They are involved in mechanisms of transport and metabolism of both cholesterol and triglycerides that result in a strong lowering effect on both of these cardiovascular factors. Series 3 prostaglandins increase vitality, energy, and stamina due to their involvement in the body's process of oxidation, which, on a cellular level, is the way molecules are broken down to produce energy. Flax Seed is rich in: Essential fatty acid Omega 3, soluble and insoluble fiber, and boron. Garlic Nature's antibiotic and enhancer of the immune system. Garlic was one of the National Cancer Institute first "five" foodstuff's being studied for multiple health benefits. Benefits being studied include the breakdown of blood clots, reduction of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) while increasing high density lipoproteins (HDL), alleviating asthma, reducing high blood pressure, and acting as an immune system stimulant. Garlic contains 35 phytonutrients including the allelic sulfides, terpenes, and phenolic acids. Garlic is rich in: High density lipoproteins (HDL) and phytonutrients. Glucosamine Glucosamine is a naturally-occurring substance found in cartilage that stimulates the production of collagen, the protein that helps hold joints together. It can help build joint cartilage, as well as help joint mobility and joint range of motion. We use only the finest, high purity grade of Glucosamine Sulfate. Kelp Kelp has a salty taste and is used by many people in place of salt. It has a high content of natural plant iodine, which is absorbed into the body slowly, and therefore more safely, than chemical iodine. Iodine is necessary for proper functioning of the thyroid, which is essential for proper growth, energy and metabolism. Kelp contains calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc and all trace minerals. It is nature's best source of natural iodine and has been used to aid the body in regulating the thyroid and pituitary glands, to help the body regulate body temperature (especially low body temperatures), and to aid in the function of the digestive and endocrine systems. It has been shown to prevent the growth of tumors, acting as an antibiotic, and contributing to the building of the cell wall. Kelp is rich in: Natural iodine, calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc and trace minerals. Lecithin A phospolipid that supplies choline, necessary to make the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (brain and nerve function). It is also known in medical circles as an "edible detergent" which breaks up fats into small droplets, of primary importance in keeping cholesterol soluble. Lecithin is in every cell membrane and is involved in electrical phenomenon and membrane fluidity on the cellular level. Liver Liver stores vitamins and minerals for the body. It is especially high in vitamin A! Liver is the most nutrient rich meat and it also detoxifies itself and the rest of the body. It converts strong toxins to less toxic forms and puts these into the intestine for their removal from the body. Liver is rich in: Concentrated forms of vitamins, like vitamin A. Nutritional Yeast Nutritional yeast is traditionally known as a "super" food. There are various yeasts available. Nutritional yeast is more nutrient rich than brewers yeast and tastes a whole lot better. Yeast is an excellent energy booster between meals has been known to help sugar metabolism. Because of the nutritional importance, this has been reported as beneficial for eczema, heart disorders, gout, nervousness and fatigue. This also enhances the immune system, and regulates the body's natural balance of yeast. Nutritional Yeast is rich in: B vitamins, sixteen amino acids, fourteen+ minerals, including iron, potassium, calcium, and chromium, ten vitamins, and is sixty percent high quality protein. Omega 3 Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid necessary for optimum health! When foods like fish or flax Seed are eaten, Omega 3 fatty acids produce series 3 prostaglandins in the body. Omega 6 Omega 6 fatty acids are critical to balancing the ratio of Omega 3 to 6! Without a proper balance, the bodies quickly loses the ability to achieve optimum health, and may even have detrimental effects if the intake of Omega 3 is not balanced with Omega 6. Oyster Primarily included in the pet formulas for palatability. It is a rich source of zinc. Rice Bran Rice bran is really the "brown" parts of rice; the parts that usually are processed out of the rice and that contain vitamins, minerals and fiber. Rice bran is also a source of naturally occurring antioxidants. Sprouted Green Barley This is another "green" food, a class of exceptionally nutritious foods that have high concentrations of vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes, chlorophyll, and mucopolysaccharides. Barley green contributes in many ways to the body's healing ability, including benefits against allergic reactions, inflammation, high blood pressure and detoxification. Sunflower Seed Besides being a nutrient- and fiber-rich seed, sunflower is included to bring the Essential Fatty Acid ration to a more optimum level by providing the Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acid.

Let me know how your pup does on Wellness! Give it about 3 months to really observe positive effects, and then post your observations! Is there anyone out there right now that are using the Wellness supplement? If so, please post here with your comments as to how your pups are doing with it! Thanks!

| Missing link Can somebody who uses Missing Link tell me what "form" it is. Is it like a dog food? Something you mix with their food? A pill? I am curious! Thanks

You may want to freeze what you don't use. I put mine in a tiny tupperware container as I use it, and leave the bag in the freezer.
