| Has Anyone Tried The Beneful Entrees I have seen them advertised on tv and in supermarket, they look great. The food comes in a tub. They have all assorted flavors..beef..chicken etc and comes with carrots ...peas and veggies. Has anyone brought this dog food ?and do their yorkies like it? |

| I can't help with this but am very interested in anyone who has tried it and if anyone has checked the ingredients. I just saw an advertisement for it today -- maybe it just got to Canada |

| Compare these first 10 ingredients from Beneful's Simmer Chicken Medley entree: "Water sufficient for processing, chicken, wheat gluten, liver, green beans, meat by-products, corn starch-modified, carrots, wild rice, white rice" against these first 10 ingredients from Merrick's Grammy Pot Pie canned food: "Chicken, Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Fresh Red Jacket New Potatoes, Fresh Carrots, Fresh Snow Peas, Fresh Red Delicious Apple, Potato Starch-modified, Olive Oil" and against the first 10 ingredients of Wellness Chicken canned food: "Deboned Chicken, Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Ocean Whitefish, Ground Whole Barley, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Flax Seed, Canola Oil, Guar Gum" and the first 10 ingredients of Solid Gold Chicken and Liver canned food: "Chicken, Chicken Broth, Chicken Liver, Ocean Fish, Carrots, Brown Rice, Flaxseed Oil, Cottage Cheese, Oat Bran" and the first 10 ingredients of Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul canned food: "Chicken, turkey, chicken broth, duck, salmon, chicken liver, whole grain brown rice, whole grain white rice, oatmeal, carrots" it think it's pretty obvious how Beneful compares against quality pet foods. their advertisements gives you the impression that it's full of quality natural ingredients but in actuality, its full of by-products and fillers. | I agree with hunniebunnie. The beneful packaging looks enticing (I picked up one at Walmart and took a look at it), but when you turn it over it has dreadful "meat by products" in it.

| See I tend to disagree. I tried all the fancy pet store dog foods and Emmy hated them all. Finally we tried the Purina Beneful and she absolutely loves it and eats all her food now! The vet told me not to be fooled by pet food that are expensive and such, and that they are JUST as good as what you can buy at your local grocery store. I guess it's whatever your dog likes to eat, and I guess Emmy likes the cheap eating..haha! -Ashley & Emmy |

I don't think the question being asked is about the "quality" of beneful..rather has anyone fed it to their dogs and what was their reaction. I too have seen it in Petsmart and it certainly looks good. I have a very picky eater and at this point would be "over the moon" if she liked anything!! I'm very interested also to know if people's pets liked this or not!

So I wouldn't be surprised if your pet gobbles it up. But not only are supermarket brands full of preservatives, by products, artifical flavors, and fillers, you also have to feed more of it which results in more body waste to scoop. Definitely in my book.

| I picked one up today and I will try giving it to Gucci...everything should be in moderation. I buy the premium can foods for Gucci. She hates them. I cook a lot of healthy foods and give it to Gucci that is the best. But sometimes you run out of ideas and giving something different is ok as long as it is not a steady diet. I have friends and family who give their dogs all the commerical foods and they are living quite old and well. So it is all heresay. Many years ago these premium foods didnt' exist. Yes I believe it is a combination of knowing facts but also a money making business. I will let you know if she likes it... Thanks |

| I don't know anything about these beneful entree things but my boy LOVES the beneful dry puppy food. My parents older dog eats the adult version and my little guy will eat that too is he can get his mouth on some. I've never seen him love any other type of food so much, so it's all good in my book! |

| After boycotting the local pet store which I USED to RAVE about (they started selling puppies...Hunte Corporation puppies) I searched high and low for anything wet my two would eat. I can't get the Merrick locally anymore and was waiting for a particular flavor to be available and tried the Beneful. They will eat the beef and pork flavors with no problem but hate the chicken and turkey. I guess that's because they get so much chicken and turkey in their Innova EVO. The only problem is, mushy poo sometimes and much more smelly. So, I'm off to find something else...
