| What do you think of this? https://www.petedge.com/shopping/pro...&iProductID=57 I don't know if I think it's ethical. I think it could easily be "abused"

| My computer was acting up trying to pull up this site you posted. Is it the "calming product" you are referring to? I think in certain situations it might be helpful as long as the correct amount is administerd. Not long ago Schatzie had her first "hotel experience" and it was horrifing...so this product might have been helpful. But again, I was unable to research it fully due to my stupid internet issues.

| Yep. It's from Petedge. I think it could be helpful for a dog who may get carsick or airsick, but I know some dog owners who would use this stuff just to get their dog to leave them alone. I read about your hotel experience. Poor Schatzie. and poor Sheryl too since you didn't get much of a chance to get out on that vacation

When my computer stops acting up I will have to look into this product and talk to my vet about it. Schatzie will have a babysitter soon and I am so worried about her getting stressed out again... Oh StewiesMom, you are sooo sweet!! Actually, it was kinda nice staying in the hotel room with Schatzie most of the time as the others were busy with the "night life scene" and Im just kinda not into that too much. My entertainment was sitting with her in the hotel, watching animal planet on t.v., ordering room service, having a glass of wine, and keeping her company.... About the "calming" product. My vet gave Annabelle our Schnauzer something many years ago when we were all to travel out of state. Annabelle was / is a nervous barker and we wanted something to calm her nerves. Well, she barked and was nervous even on this "calming" product they gave. I am not sure if it's the same thing though??? Either way, id feel safer just asking the vet to prescribe something moreso than ordering something over the internet that you have no idea what is in it. It's like ordering human meds over the internet, that scares me and would never do so....So, if I go to my doctor for meds, id do the same for meds needed with my pets.

| Interesting. I think it would be helpful when traveling, but I see what you mean. I know some people too who would give this to their dog just to get them out of their hair.

| here is the description: High-potency tablets are specially formulated to soothe dogs and cats. Natural calming and pacifying tablets are ideal for relaxing nervous animals, alleviating car sickness, introducing new pets into the family, and calming boisterous pets. Contains multi-vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Give three hours prior to car rides. Lasts up to 18 hours. Non-narcotic and all natural. Content-Um tablets are available in the sizes listed below. And about the proper use or not...it depends on the owners, there are people that i just can't understand why they got a pet in the first place If used properly, i think it would be a great choice for responsible owners trying to do the best fortheir pets. |
