| Heat Mia just started her 2nd heat - first was 9 mo ago at 12 mo. I was intending to breed her this cycle - I've had both she & Max tested, opinions given from breeders, etc, but......I need to keep them apart as we are going to FL in early July for my DH conference and I absolutely could NOT leave 3 week old puppies, even with another breeder friend. I think it would be too hard on Mia who is my shadow. So, any suggestions? He wears a belly band when loose in the house, but at night he doesn't and they both sleep with me. Also when we are gone they are in the kitchen 'unprotected'. I'll start caging him when we are gone, but I'm thinking of diapering her at night. Went to Petsmart and the cloth kind they have the tail hole is HUGE and it slides down to where if he was really persistent, I think he could 'slip one in' on us. I'm hoping WM has the ones I just read about in the other post. I want puppies, just not right now |
