Next steps after innoculations Badger had his first shots at 10 weeks and then again at 12 weeks. They didn't say anything at the vet's about bringing him in again, but just a general read through of the forum suggests to me that there's a lot more involved. He's fifteen weeks now. What's the next thing to do? Should he go back for more boosters? When should I consider having him neutered? Thanks as always for any advice

| hi =) i think the next step would be the rabies shot......but your vet should inform you of all the required and recommended shots (lepto shot 1&2 is recommended if you live in a wooded or surburb area) it is recommended to neuteured at 6 months, or right before their first heat or.....darn what do guys get...(sorry, i have two girls) anyway; hope everything goes as planned

Hiya! Thank you. Yup. The vet mentioned the rabies shot and the microchipping but she said he was too small for both (he was two pounds at twelve weeks). I'm just wondering if he should have more booster shots or if it's just the two... hmm... . And is Lepto something in America? I don't know if we have that here but I'll check on that, thank you. Should I be giving him more deworming stuff? I gave him the three day course after his last shots but she didn't say to do anything else...

My apologies but I'm just going to bump this in the hope that someone can tell me whether or not I should be giving him more deworming medicine. I gave him the three day series of dewormers after his second and last shots. He is now fifteen weeks and had his shots and dewormer at twelve weeks. Many thanks in advance

Hello Annie, I am not sure what the standard course of treatment is in the UK, but I would recommend going to your veterinarian and would avoid over the counter treatments, I would also have a stool sample tested to know exactly what needs to be treated. Good luck! =)
