| I Just Tweezed a TICK off Baby! I was petting her...as usual , and I noticed a black spot above her left eye, like by her 'eyebrows.' I said to my friend, "Please tell me that's not a tick." He said, "It's a tick." NO!!! I had to borrow rubbing alcohol from my next door neighbor, I held Baby tightly, and he tweezed it out. It was only there for a little while because it wasn't engorged, and the front was just in a little bit. The whole tick came out, and it was still moving. I flushed that SOB down the toilet. We put some more alcohol on her head, and Baby seems fine, but I am going to keep an eye on her. She was wiggling a lot, but she was a real trooper! Thanks for "listening!"

| We have a couple acres out back, a lot of trees, and are in tick country. So every summer it's a battle. Frontline Plus works best for us -- thank goodness (and knock on wood) we don't haven't had any problem with fleas at all!

| I thought Frontline was for fleas? I didn't know it was also for ticks. Baby is on Sentinal (sp?) which is for fleas and heartworm. How often do you put Frontline on? Thanks!

| Frontline goes on once a month. It works longer on fleas, as I understand it, but for ticks apply monthly |

| Frontline Plus covers fleas and ticks; I think Frontline only covers fleas. I put it on once a month. Our Yorkie-poo, Max, gets a full dose of the 1-21lb application once a month. For Rhapsody; since she's only 2 lbs, and 14 wks; I just gave her 1/2 dose of the 1-21 lb application two weeks ago (she didn't have any skin irritation, so I'll give her another 1/2 dose when the month is up. I haven't seen any ticks on her yet, but I like to head those disgusting little creatures off before they start showing up. Tiger is 11 wks, so I won't give him any until he turns 12wks, and 2lbs. And then again: I'll start with 1/2 dose, and make sure he has no reaction -- then after that it'll be once a month. Our old neighbor used to just leave his dogs outside without any treatment at all. Poor things, I felt so sorry for them they would be covered by the end of the summer. I think that neighbor is one of the reasons the last couple years have been so bad; he had a little tick colony going on. I'm sure glad they moved away this past winter.
