| Breeders: Weight gain question Hi I am the one who wrote in having a 12 oz new yorkie. Breeder told me she was 1pd. Anyway, my question is how much weight gain should I expect per week for a dog this small. I am asking because she eats every two hours or so what seems like a fair amount. However she has not yet even gained an ounce, shes close though. I have had her for one week tomorrow.

| Thanks!! Thats the first yorkie growth chart I have seen. It looks like an ounce a week is the weight gain amount to expect.(thats what I was wondering) Anyway thats where she is at. I just didn't know what to expect. She is so small and I am not a breeder to know.

| My guess is a 2 pound 2oz pup at 11 weeks will be in the 5 pound range at 18 months. Nothing is ever for sure of course as they all grow differently. |

| Okay I don't feel as bad because I'm not the only one that can't seem to figure this all out! I've tried and tried and I just can't understand it! Can someone please please help me! My Chico went to the vet today and weights 2.8 pounds at 12 weeks. Chico was 2.1 pounds at 9 weeks so he gained 7 ounces in three weeks! Is this normal weight gain?
