| HELP ! 6 mnths yorkie wouldnt eat!! She just got treated for poisoning and currently wouldnt eat ANYTHING for the last 2 days. Ive been feeding her 8in1 Enervite Daily Vitamin Supplement.. its somewhat like Nutri-Cal. Anyways.. the only thing she ate in the last days was a little bit of the wet food i recently bought to coax her to eat, some apple bits and a little bit of my bread while I was having toast. PLEASE HELP ME im so scared shes goign to go into shock. all she does now is just sit there with her ears and tail down so low and how much and how often do i feed the vitamin supplement since shes not eating ?? what do i feed her to make her eat !! I currently feed her Eukanuba Small Breed dry kibble and bought the wet food of the same brand last night |

| Try to feed her plain yogurt or boiled chicken, something mild that she will enjoy eating. I hope your baby feels better soon.

| I'm sorry, I don't have any suggestions, but I wanted to say that I hope your baby get better soon. I have not heard of that supplement. I usually give Kiki Nutrical. Sending prayers your way!

| I would feed her chicken and rice or mix some cottage cheese in with the wet food.

| I hope she will feel better soon. Chicken and rice sounds good but i wouldn't feed too much of that. |

| I agree with the other members on feeding chicken, rice, yogart and cottage cheese. It is critical that these little ones eat as you know. You might also look for Gerbers Graduate Baby Food as they have a chicken/rice dinner and also little hot dogs. Many people feed their Yorkies chicken and rice their whole life time along with green beans and vitamin supplements. When I have a sick Yorkie I have bought chicken stock without salt also and cooked the rice in that, just to add more flavor. I do not like feeding my dogs Little Cesars but the first rule of thumb when a little one is not eating is to get him to eat and so I always keep a few tins of that around. Some people also boil hamburger (get the fat out) and serve this with rice also. I tend to think the chicken is easier on their systems but again it is important to get your dog to eat. Please let us know how things are going.

| Hello, Can I ask why do you not feed your dogs Little Cesar? That is what I have along with Royal Canine Nuts for Yorkies and she gobbles up both. Thank-you, Muireann |

| snickers was on eukanuba and wasnt eating i switched her to nutro and then she started gobbling it up... and the lil puppy gravy bites helped too sometimes when she isnt eating or drinking well i will sit right at her water/food bowl with my hand actually in it - she goes to lick my hand and ends up eating the food/water instead its not necessarily a long term solution but while ur trying to figure out whats going on it may help you get something in her stomach good luck! |

| my solution hi- my yorkie got sick about a month ago and wouldn't eat either. she is 2.5lbs full grown so you can imagine my concern with hypoglycemia. what i gave her was chicken beech nut baby food mixed with boiled chicken breast pieces and moistened with warm water. after she ate a little of that i gave her some honey mixed with water in a syringe, just as a little treat to encourage her to eat and to prevent hypoglycemia. now she's eating again i'm giving her merrick puppy plate mixed with ground up eukanuba bites mixed with a bit of water to moisten and supplement her water intake. now she eats everything i put in her bowl. well that worked for me, i hope you find something that works for you. goodluck. |

| Fussy Eater Here Too! Well, it sure was a big consolation reading about the other Yorkie's fussy eating habits. Reggie will eat good for a day or two, then he eats very little and starts acting lethargic and listless so I give him a bit of Karo Syrup and he perks up and eats better. I don't want to keep giving him the Karo Syrup but the vet said it won't hurt him and this way I don't have to worry about him getting hypoglycemic. I've also noticed that when he won't eat, if I give him some Karo, then he perks up and eats his dry food. I'm feeding him Royal Canin but I would consider trying another dry food if anyone has a suggestion. I've seen Nutro on here a lot. Is that a good wholesome choice? Should I wean him onto it or just give it to him? Thanks for everyone's help and support.
