| Please give me your input on food schedule My Dezi was eating Eukanuba when I bought her home from the Breeder. She was not eating her food. I changed it to Nutro Ultra Puppy which she likes, but she does not eat 1/2 cup a day (she is 12 weeks now). My husband and I work all day. She is not eating anything during the day. We leave at 8:30 in the morning, my mother stops by at lunch time and tries to feed her, but she won't eat. When I get home, I hand feed her just like a baby, she takes a couple of knibbles and plays and runs around and comes back for more, but even then she will not eat 1/2 cup a day. On the weekends I mix the wet and dry and she loves it. She eats like I have never seen her eat before. So I am thinking of giving her 2 tablespoons of the wet Nutro Ultra Puppy mixed in with the dry food every morning and then feeding her dry Nutro in the evening. I know that dry food is better for her, but if I mix it, she eats the dry and wet. I think she is not eating enough (especially if she is home alone for most of the day ). Please advise! | My babies will be 12 weeks on Thursday and they are piggies! They too were on Eukanuba with the breeder. I mixed the bag she gave me with Wellness and they eat both as of right now. The trick that seems to work for me is a teaspoon of warm water with the kibble. It gives it kind of gravy but the kibble still has crunch. They love it. It has worked great so far. They eat about a few tablespoons over 1/2 a cup right now. I think the amount they eat is because of how active they are. I am home all day...and my kids want to play with them a lot. And, when we are not playing with them...they are playing with each other...they work up quite an appetite. Good Luck!

| My Bella is now 19 weeks...she was eating RC mini when she was home from the Breeder, she would eat her food sometimes, but others, she would just pick at it. I now feed her Nutro Ultra puppy dry food, mixed with her RC and a spoon of wet Nutro Ultra...it equals about a little more than 1/4 c with everything. She LOVES this mix! I just started her on this last week and included the RC because I wanted her to get used to the Nutro. I have had great results so far and she seems to be on a more regular "pooping" schedule now, which is a good thing. So she is eating a total of 1c per day, and I feed her 3 times a day now...I will switch that to 2x's once she is mo.'s. She is weighing in at 4.7 and she is 4 almost 5 mos. Hope that helps! Marlynn

| i bought tyler (11 wks) home from the vet on Eukebena as well and he wouldnt eat, the food doesnt look at all apealing. i would give ceasars that helped him to start eating, and now he eats nutro which i poor hot water over to make a bit moist. you should also buy nutrical since your pup hasnt been eating. I had the same problem and the members here helped me with the same advice. |

| I would give the mixed feed in the morning, leave out dry and try the warm moistened kibble at dinner. Offer a snack at supper too. My pup doesn't eat when I am out either. She is little--3.4lbs at 6 months -and has never ate the amounts recommended. But she is lively and bright and healthy. If your pup has eaten well in the morning, she should be ok til dinner. get some Nutrical just in case-it did increase my pup's eating.

| Bil Jack Dog Food Cooper is 13 weeks and I grind the dry food to a dust consistency, put some warm water on it and then mix a teaspoon of wet Pedigree for puppies into it. He loves it. I am also gone all day. I come home at noon to feed him. He will eat a little bit but not much. He eats everything in the evening when I am home. I do think there is a connection between being left alone and eating. |

| My little girl doesnt eat when im not home she doesnt like to left alone , she eats royal kanine for yorkshire terriers , maybe you should consider a playmate. Hannah did good with a couple of other small dogs they were rat terriers now she lives alone with my husband and I , In the Nederlands. she has turned into a real baby though , and does not like to be alone , however she is only alone two or three hours four times a week.. |
