| Why oh why does my baby throw up all the time! Okay, not ALL the time, but often enough that I wonder if it is normal for these little guys to have weak stomachs...I mean he makes this awful wretching sound....you know how you feel after a night of HEAVY drinking and you can't keep even water down....well that is how he sounds....this morning he threw up twice...it is often in the morning when he wakes up to go pee! Whats going on? I tell me vet everytime I see her but she isn't concerned about it! Maybe some of you here can help me! TIA |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have Cali in the ER vet as we speak because she has been doing exactly that, plus she's in heat and very lethargic. In the past maybe 2-3 times a month she would retch a lot and throw up yellow bile first thing in the morning. This past week she has been doing it every morning. The vet thinks she may have a blockage not because of the vomiting but because of an XRay. She did say she might just have a colitis or intestinal condition. I have had other dogs do this when they had nothing on there stomaches. So I'm not really sure. It is scary.

| Peanut has the same problems. The Vet said it was allergies. Give him 5mg.of pepcid at night and in the Morning when needed. Hes throwing up the mucus instead of letting it go to his lungs. Just try the pepcid for a couple of days and see what happens.Everything is trail and Error with our little ones.

| Zoey too My little Zoey did that for about 2-3 weeks starting when she was about 12 weeks. I couldn't figure out what was going on. She has not vomited now for at least 3-4 weeks. She is about 5 months now. I think she was finding things on the floor and eating everything - plus I was trying to get her on different dogfood and she actually started doing it in the middle of the night. I would hear her in her crate next to our bed, throwing up. I somehow think that she did that for awhile when she had to go potty really bad. If I would get up and take her potty in the middle of the night before vomiting, she would be fine. She never whines when she needs to go, just holds it and when her bladder was smaller, I think it freaked her out. I don't know, just my thoughts. She's fine now! Hang in there! As long as there is no diarrhea with the vomiting, I wouldn't worry about it. Zoey's mom |
