| Greenie Warning I just purchased a male Yorkie (Parker) a few weeks ago after loosing my Lhasa Apso 10 months old. She died because a Greenie was stuck in her intestines. It also torn them and caused her to bleed internally. She was throwing up on a Sunday. I didnt think too much about it. I thought she ate something she shouldnt have since she eats everything. She acted fine and full of energy...just throwing up. By Monday morning she became a totally different dog during the night. By the time I woke up on Monday morning she had threw up more and was very week. Took her to the vet only to fine out a this information. It was too late to save her because she had bled interally too much blood for a dog. They could not operate and get the greenie out because she was so weak and wouldnt make it through surgery. They wanted us to put her to sleep because she was in alot of pain. So please if you give your yorkies greenies....PLEASE THINK AGAIN. Greenie do not digest the way they are surpose to. If they get too big of a bite it can be very dangerous. Sorry this is so long. I've just trying to save someone else of having this pain. |

| Welcome to YT. Congratulations on your yorkie baby. So sorry for the loss of your Lhasa Apso. What a horrible experience. Thanks for shring that story with us. I had seen the warnings on TV a few weeks ago. My sister was still giving them to her Schitzu, so I passed the warning on to her. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am so sorry for your loss. My pom had been eating them every day for years and I gave them to Cali too. After all the stories I stoped them cold turkey. They sure miss them but this lets me know that I did the right thing. Congratulations on your new baby.
