| Eat Mites........... Ok, not sure if there have been any posts on this topic, but I didn't have time to look thru them all. I was wondering if any of you have dealt with ear mites or eat infections in your yorkie babies? I have my little 12 wk old girl, and she has either got ear mites or an ear infection in one ear. How can I tell the difference? Also, are there in natural remedies out there? found a site that said for infections to use white vinegar and if it's mites to use olive oil. Have any of you ever did treatments such as these? I would love advice on this. I will probably take her to the vet on Weds (my first open day), and I would like to get her comfy before then. kwim? Thanks a bunches to whoever can help on this. God bless, Heather |

| Ear mites look like black "crud" in the ears, or some say they look like coffee grounds. My cat had them not too long ago, and the vet gave us drops to get rid of them.

| My girl had real bad earmites. I had no clue and on a vet visit ask for her ears to be checked and sure enough when they put an edoscope in her ear I could see them and felt horrible. Anyways I had to leave her there. They put her down to flush her ears (they had to put her down because I was told it was painful to flush the ears) and then sent me home with some Eradimite which is some very dense gel like drops to be administered twice a day for 3 weeks. That did it and she is now fine. Hope all goes well with your girl and I am sure it will. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I just got back from the vet with Cali to have her sore lips checked out and asked to check her ears because she was scratching. The vet took a swab of the ears and the left ear came back with a slight infection so she gace me an ointment to put on her lip and she said touse the same one in her left ear. I think there is ear meds over the counter at Petsmart you can try.

| My Bear had mites when I got him at 8 weeks and I used an over the counter med from a pet store. Today when Bear saw the vet he asked if he ever had been treated for ear mites, I said yes and told him what I used to treat it. He said he did not feel any product you can buy over the counter for ear mites would work but was unable to see any in Bear's ears today. |
