| Off to the Vet My dad just called and say moose was having troubles. Ocassionally she will make a noise like she is trying to cough something up but will last a few seconds. About a week or two after she had had her spay, almost a year ago, she had an attack that lasted a good few min. She couldn't catch her breath and had me in a painc, my dad loaded me and her in the car and went to the vet. She told me it was the trache tube. My dad said she just had another attack about as bad as that one, and then a shorter one a few seconds later. I am in a panic, I'm at work and was going to leave early like at one, but I think it will be much earlier now. She has an appt with our new vet at 3:45 today, but I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas or a pup that has done this. I just want to have myself prepared. Michelle

| Thanks. One of the reasons I love yorkietalk someone on here is bound to know something. I will let you know what the vet says...3:45 can't come soon enough. I keep looking at the clock on my works computer saying come on noon. Think I am leaving at noon or 12:30 so I can get home and take care of my baby. Stupid job and stupid not enough time off. I'd be leaving right now if I could

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My pom has this thing it's like a reverse sneeze. She will be breathing in and not out and makes this snorting type noise. It can last for a few minutes and then she is fine. It tends to happen when she gets real excited like when it's time to eat or at bedtime. She gets this about 3-4 times a month and has since I've had her which is 9 years. One thing I do is to hold my hand over her mouth and nose and it forces her to breathe out again. i'm not suggesting you do that just letting you know what I do. I have had other Yorkies with collapsed trachea problems and that sounds more like a cough from the throat not from the nose like the reverse sneeze. My one yorlie lived a normal life with a collapsed trachea, he would have these spells when he got excited. Hopefully Moose will be just fine.
