| Mom leaving for a while My mother has a little yorkie. She stays at home all day and gives him a LOT of attention but will have to go away for a month and a half. I will be around to care for the little guy's food/grooming needs but I have an 8 hour work day and I'm scared he will get sick/depressed since he's not used to being alone all day, though I will be home at nights. Am I being paranoide or should I have reason to be worried? Thanks for any help |

| Is it possible for your Mother to start leaving the little Yorkie at home for a few hours at a time, to get her used to the idea? If you wean her into it, she may react better, rather than a sudden 8 hour gap every day... |

| Thanks for the input. She does go out for about 2 hours every day and about 6 hours one day a week... do you think that's OK or should I tell her to extend it to a little longer? Your pup's really cute by the way! Quote:

| Thanks Verdini. She might extend it a few hours one or two days, and try to extend it to a full 8 hours for one day a week to see if she's okay on that day or not. |
