| do you filter your yorkies drinking water? i was reading the gwlittle catolog @ work last night. there is a little section about healthy living. it says using public water can be a danger for dogs. that their smaller systems are more susceptible to toxins. they say to use a drinkwell pet fountain system. i give romeo tap water in just a regular bowl. i'm not sure if he needs a fountain type system. if you want to take a peek it's at gwlittle.com item 413116. i'm sorry i don't know how to post a direct link. my fiance' thinks we should just give him water filtered through our brita system. i'm unsure. |

| I only give Baby Poland Spring water because I have a cooler. When she goes to Grandma and Grandpa's house, I don't think she's that lucky!

| My girls gets distilled water and if I run out, they get bottled water or the filtered water from my fridge. I don't give them tap water unless I don't have an option.

| Our water comes from a natural spring...it's supposed to be 99.8% pure straight from the tap and it's good water. We have a filter system under the sink to a seperate drinking water tap if you want to use it and also on the water that comes from the fridge but they really aren't needed. When we travel we always use bottled water. |

| Our water is from a wonderful well, I love it. We have a system on the frig that filters it and comes out cold. Our furkids get both water from the frig and the faucet. When we travel we use bottled water.

| We just use regular tap water. Our water tastes good and it's nice and cold. We have never had a problem with it. However, if we go out of town, we use bottled water.

| We have a filter thing on our refridgerator so Cappi does get filtered water. I figure if I won't drink tap then she won't either! My cats never even drank tap water We have a couple of the fresh flow fountains that they all love, but when we do go out of town they drink bottled water...just like me! |

| I've always used filtered water for my Yorkies. A number of years ago, we had an infestation of giardia in the local water supply and many people and animals got sick from drinking the water. Fortunately, EVERYONE in my home drank only filtered water and never got sick. Even though a new filter system was put in place I continued using the home filter. After all, if I don't drink regular tap water, why should they? |

| We have well water, but it has "bacterial iron" in it. So I have a water softener with a filter in it AND, I filter it through the refrigerator. I figure if I won't drink it, maybe it's not the best to be sitting in a bowl for them either. When I go out of town, it's bottled-whatever I'm drinking.

| We only give Miko distilled water, per his vet's orders. He gets stones and crystals in his urine, so he can't have even regular bottled drinking or spring water because of the minerals and stuff.

| We've had a reverse osmosis water purification system for about 18 years. The water is between 95% and 98% pure. |
