Advantage Q. I'm too lazy to do my own Internet research, but how bad is it to give your dog Advantage twice in one month? Anyone? Anyone? Thanks.

Just curious.... why 2x/month? Are you having such a problem that one time may not help?

I gave him his dose at the end of Feb. Two weeks later, the weather turned really warm, and that's when fleas start hatching all over the place, and we were going out a lot, and I noticed him scratching but I never saw an actual flea. And since I give him a bath every week, I was afraid that the original Advantage got diluted by the time the hot weather was starting, so I decided to give him another dose.

ive only been using advantage for a short time.... if you never saw fleas could it be possible it is just itchy skin?????? toby's one dose lasts all month... whith baths one - two times a week...... They can get fleas from other sources but they are suppsoed to die in two hours before they can lay eggs

Hmm, I tried researching for a bit, Junebug, but really didn't find too much. Advantage's own website just says not to put in your pet's mouth or eyes. Nothing about any potential 'overdose' at all. So I would think that it's safe to apply twice in a month.
