| dry skin? i just had a quick question about my henry's coat. he seems to have dry skin...its like white flakes, like dandruff in his fur. is there a certain shampoo i should be using? or should he be eating something specific to help this? he gets a bath once a week and is on nutro puppy formula.. also sometimes he bites his skin on his back...like maybe its itchy or something... any help would be much appreciated! |

| I don't really have the answer for you. However, my breeder did say something about it when I picked my baby up. That was 5 months ago and I can't remember exactly. All I can recall is certain brand of food can cause dry skin. I was told to watch out for it if we were to switch food. What are you feeding your little one? Maybe some of the breeder here can help you out. |

| You might want to use an oatmeal shampoo. Nutro is a good food so I dont think that is it but you could change foods and see. My dog has allergies and I have had to change many foods before finding one.

| Another thing you might try is adding some Omega Fatty acids to her diet. There is Missing Link you can get at Petsmart. Or Grizzly Salmon oil you can get at Dr Fosters and Smith online catalog. Nobella uses the Salmon oil and her dog has the shiniest coat. I plan on getting some. I use Missing link it is also good for the skin and coat. Both of these you just put on their hard food.
