| YORKIEPOO - Question about haircut/trim... I am not sure if this has been asked, but I wanted to know when age is suggested for a yorkiepoo's first haircut/trim. I love my puppy's coat, but the hair around her eyes are getting long. Sometimes the hair sticks out in front of her eye. I was just wondering if there's a certain age that she should be before she gets her first haircut. Thank you!! |

| I have a yorkipoo as well, her hair was always hanging in her eyes. I don't know if it was bothering her but it bothered me. I never asked anyone about trimming it, but I did a couple of nights ago. I just pinned back the hair that goes in a buckle (which she does not leave in therefore had to cut her bang), and just cut what fell out across the eyes with my scissors. I did hold her carefully and did it very fast so she would not move. After I had it cut and she knew I was not hurting her she let me fair everything up, it was not as hard as I thought it would be and she looks so much cuter. |

| No certain age. You can take her to a groomer as long as she has had her first two sets of shots. Other than that, if you plan to have her professionally groomed I would do it as soon as possible. They won't cut much the first time but it is a good idea for training purposes. Also if you wait too long (like 8 or 9 months) she will go thru a coat change and if you are not keeping up the brushing she could get really matted and end up needing a really short haircut to fix it.
