Yorkie Thirst Hi everyone, I am a proud new yorkie owner and love this website. There are many helpful tips I have found. There is question I have about how much water do they drink throught the day. My guy who is 4 months old now seem to drink about 1 & 1/2 cups(rough estimate) of water a day. Is this about right? The funny thing is that most of it goes in one end and right out the other. Seems that way anyhow Thanks, Julio

Yea, there are times he drinks less. But from what I have read here and other places it varies. He seems fine and the vet says he was ok. Julio

I think your pup is drinking about the right amount of water. I have about 32 ounces out (two water bowls) -- and my two dogs drink it in about two days - give or take - it varies! To some extent the amount of water they drink must depend on the temperature, their activity level, and whatever foods they have been eating. Carol Jean PS - YES - it does go right through..... darn!

Hi, His drinking seems to be less lately, he was drinking more when he was running around like crazy. I guess it was the increased activity. Thanks, Julio

How can I get my pup to drink more water? I am going to try one of those drinking bottles you use in cages. Only time I can really get it in him is when I mix it with food.
