Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hip Chip Treats Hi..Was wondering if any one has given their babies HIP CHIP treats ? For the second time now Wolf has gotten an upset stomach that is unaccounted for. No table scraps etc. He did have a couple of barbeque flavored Hip Chips and I am now getting suspicious that may be the cause. Anyone have any comments on them ? Thanks

| I give them to Gus here and there but have never noticed any problems with them before. He loves them.

| I don't think that they are very healthy. Also, my yorkie swallowed one whole and it made me too nervous. I try to give her more healthy treats like chopped carrots and apples. She loves those. |

| I give Lexi the cheese ones. She loves them! No problems. I usually give her 1 or 2 a day after she goes potty. I went through a whole bag in 1 1/2 months. I think I would only give her the cheese ones. |

| hip chips romeo loves hip chips. read the bag carefully because they can only have so many per day. it goes by their weight. romeo gets 2 every morning. he gobbles them down. maybe, your doggy is eating too many and getting a sour tummy. |

| No hip chips for Chewie... When Hip Chips first came out we got a sample of them during a pilgrimage to the local PetsMart. Hip Chips were the only treat that caused a "stand off" between Chewie and I. We were home alone and I though - "Gee, there are these great new treats - Let's try them!" Yeah, well, Chewie didn't want to have ANY piece of them. It was early on in our relationship - and for some stupid reason I thought that he really needed to try them. So I tried to force him to eat the Hip Chip piece - persistantly offering them for sitting, laying down, etc. Well, Chewie definately did not want any piece of it - and showed me his teeth (for anyone who cares, this was the only time in Chewie history that the teeth came out) and suffice to say - Hip Chips are not part of the treat jar here. I've met other dogs that go crazy for them. Chewie doesn't like much unless it smells like jerky! We've taken to storing a bunch of different treats in the same jar with some Pupperoni - we call the treats "infused with the taste and scent of Pupperoni." I hated that Chewie only really responded to treats that didn't clean his teeth etc... So it's one big smorgasboard of a treat jar now! Chewie's ready for a last walk.... |
