| What to feed him? I just recently adopted my little guy "Cannoli". Chocolate yorkie to my knowledge. Ive had him since last Wednesday. the owner of him had him on Royal Canin Puppy development food. He doesn't seem to want to eat it.. little bits at a time. Any suggestions to what is GOOD for him? He's 11 months now, and will be celebrating his 1st birthday on October 21, 2017 of this year. All help appreciated. Thanks, Anderley |

| He may not be eating due to stress so I would be leery changing his food. Royal Canin for Yorkshire Terriers is supposed to be made to be enticing to picky eaters you could try that. I’m a huge fan of ?Royal Canin because they have good quality control, do feeding trails and have actual vet nutritionists on staff.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If he doesn't seem attracted to it, I'd try something else. Or, if you want...get some wet food and mix it thoroughly into the dry. Nothing wrong at all with mixing them together. Wet food is great.

| I tried wetting his food, Hes not interested in that at all. Yorkies need to eat otherwise their sugar levels go down and that there is not good. Ive heard of sprinkling parmesan cheese on it, I tired that once and he wasn't interested. I find he likes to eat most is right before bed time... he should be eating breakfast tho...... frustrating. he does nible throughout the day. but never a bowl at a time. |

Hello I havent tried wet food as I am anal when it comes to my dogs teeth and I know with small breeds their teeth can decay. I am thinking of maybe doing so, but only putting in half a teaspoon and giving it a good stir.... kinda like gravy..... with the crunch of dry food.... stay tuned | |

| Thank you for your advice I picked up some royal canin wet food and mixed some with his dry food.... he ate most of his bowl! Yayyyy! I actually learned by working at a vet clinic in my high school years how to scale dogs teeth. My Lola who's almost 9 lets me and my other yorkie Jax let me too. I carefully with my utensils lightly take off the plaque. Both had bright white plaque free teeth. Every Sunday was my day I'd do it along with a nail trim. So I'll keep the teaspoon wet food going and see what he does. |
