| Itching & bumps Sunny has constant itching & small lesions. Vet has given prednizone, medicated shampoo , childrens benydral & hydrocortozone cream. She is bathed twice a week, but itching continues. We live in Florida, so heat, humidity & rolling in the grass may contribute to this. She also licks her feet. |

| Benadryl doesn't work the great for allergies. You need to look into the cytopoint shots of something like apoquel.

| My yorkie had similar problems. Vet gave her zyrtec and allaway allergy eye drops and that worked. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | With enviro allergies - what your vet is recommending will likely do nothing. Read this thread: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...tart-here.html

YT 2000 Club Member | Itching My Jojo was itching and chewing his hind legs and under his tail. I bathed him and found a flea. I have been putting coconut oil on his itches and he seems better. I also stopped feeding royal canin mini . I don't know if it's the food. I trying things. A trip to the vet if these tips don't work. |

| Fleas are very interesting their larva can actually stay dormant for up to 4 months in your home and then decided to start eating on your dog. I personally would not play with fleas and put him on something.

| Cytopoint works great by the way! It was mind blowing to me when I tried it on Ella. She had been scratching a lot and I think it was because her skin was dry. But it definitely significantly reduced her scratching while I try to figure out what's wrong with her. |
