| Royal canine for yorkies Hi all, I've noticed that charlie has been itching more than usual lately, and biting his legs and the top of his paws. I'm not sure if he's just cleaning himself or if there's something else going on. He's such a picky eater so I finally stopped giving in to feeding him ground turkey and carrots because It's obviously not a complete meal and I need him to get the nutrients that he needs to thrive, so I started incorporating RC into his turkey and slowly lowering the amount of the turkey and just recently i've noticed this habit. What do you guys think? Did any of your pups react this way to RC? I got a few samples of wellness, and chicken soup for the soul for puppies that I might try feeding him instead -- or I might just go the natural route and create home cooked meals so I know he's getting everything he needs. Any advice is appreciated. XO |

| If you ever decide to go to home cooked route, you need to make sure they get enough nutrition from internal organs (that you wouldn't normally eat). As an alternative to home cooked, you could consider freeze dried or dehydrated meals (I.e. Primal, the honest Kitchen, Stella & Chewys). Most dogs LOVE it. And it's supposed to be better for them than kibble. And about the same price as home cooked.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | How old is Charlie? I'd get him off of the RC asap - it's very possible it's the corn IF the itching and paw issues started ONLY after starting that food. If they started before that, then it's likely enviro. Which do you think it is...?

YT 2000 Club Member | Dog food What about nutro ultra. The vet has my yorkies on hills ID because of the loose stool issues. After two weeks and normal poop I will be looking at a good food. I don't think I can cook for them so they get a balanced diet. I heard that dogs should not eat one food for a long time. Change it to something else. Gotta watch that fat and too high protein in some foods. |
