| Steroids? Chewie was sick again. We aren't sure if it was stress from a routine change, or the neighbor with the boxer teasing her (chewed him out plenty already.) I put her in to the doc, and her regular doc was off saturday. This one wanted to try a steroid shot. She lost some weight over the week, but, it was the "big" scale and it could simply have been off from the smaller scale. Steroid shot worked. I haven't seen her eat with such gusto for months. I was totally expecting the hunger yesterday, thirst, too. What I wasn't expecting was her wanting both meals AND snacks today. we have a blood panel planned so we could try non-invasive measures before a biopsy. She perked right up after that shot. I'm not a person that thinks steroids should be used-hell, I didn't even think about this method. It just made me that much more determined to get the panel done before allergy testing. |
