| Baby doesn't like ACANA Hi everyone, I'm having trouble with my baby girl food, she is 7 months old and weights 3 pounds, all her life she ate ROYAL CANIN XSMALL BREED FOR PUPPY, she loves this, literally LOVE she gets cray over this food and finished in 2 minutes... BUT.. sadly this food makes her itch the vet told me it is probably the chicken in the RC, So I researched, read reviews and I look here in the community and I decided to give my baby ACANA SINGLES, Im making the transition of RC giving now 25% RC 75% ACANA lamb apple flavor, and now she is miserable she won't eat it she looks at her plate and choose the RC and leave the ACANA I left the food out there and thought she will get hangry, and no... She is hangry but she wants her RC food,is really sad for me, seeing this. When she used to enjoy her meals so much... Please girls I need your advice... Please can you recommend me and brand that your yorkies like??? With no chicken on it.? And that's recommended for puppy? |

| Is the Acana kibble bigger? Three pounds is pretty small, our smallest is five and seems to desire or prefer smaller kibble. Some of the Fromm has small kibble. At 7 months you "might" want to still be looking at using puppy food though. Is the Acana a puppy food? https://frommfamily.com/about/questi...r-star-kitten/ ACANA Singles | ACANA Pet Foods |

| I know acana is all life stages so its good for puppies. However not sure how big the lamb and apple is but i feed the heritage flavor and the bites seem a bit too big for a 3 lb puppy. But maybe the lamb/apple is smaller. There are also other acana flavors without chicken you could try. Orijen as well . You could also try soaking it in water and so its a little softer and try it like that. Or add a litle canned food to it to help . |

the single formula is for all ages. I wanted so bad she likes this because I read that's is a better food than royal canin. and royal canin doesn't have hypoallergenic food for puppy

| Environmental allergies are more common then food allergies so not sure why your vet would go straight to food allergies but you can get a prescription Royal Canin food that is hypoallergenic and they have it in small breed and she might really like that.

| https://www.chewy.com/natural-balanc...ited/dp/104681 Looks like if you can find it local to you, local store, it's $18 for 4.5 lbs. Other than that, I know nothing about this brand other than what I just read. Kibble is tiny, in the reviews it looked like someone even complained about how small it was! LOL Hope it works for ya! Always check for recall info before buying, all brands, any food. |

| Royal Canin is a great food they have lots of vet nutritionists on safe and they do trails unlike a lot of other brands. I have heard of people starting to switch over to adult food at 7 months so you might want to take to your vet about it.

A healthy non itchy dog may do fine on it. But this puppy is already itchy while on royal canin.

| I'm sorry you must have missed my post talking about the prescription hypoallergenic food by Royal Canin that they have in small breed so the pieces are small which is what I was talking about. Not all Royal Canin food is evil lol and most allergies are due to environment not food.
