| my 7 Year Old Yorkie is having seizures My 7 year old Yorkie started having seizures. I have taken him to the vet and they put him on phenobarbital and he continued having seizures and they added potassium bromide as well. His seizures last no more then 10 seconds and his front legs just go stiff. He does not thrash around as we had a golden retriever that had grand maul seizures and its nothing like what she had. He does not lose consciousness. He bounces back right after wanting to play ball. The meds seem to be helping a bit but still has a couple a day. He is going back to the vet Thursday so they can check the levels on meds in his system to see if they need to be adjusted. I am terrified that its a brain tumor. Anyone ever experience this or have any advice? They say seizures usually come out between ages 1-5 and he's 7. |
