| Lepto vaccine question? I have searched the forums and read the posts, and maybe I have asked this before but I'm asking again. Cricket is my 3 year old Yorkie and she has NEVER been vaccinated for lepto. When she was a puppy she had surgery to fix a liver shunt and my vet never wanted to give her the vaccine because Of her compromised liver. I live in Texas, ( close to the city of Arlington and my family and I are part of a page for our neighborhood where someone posted that she and her husband have lost 2 yorkies in the last 6 months due to lepto. She was encouraging others to get the vaccine. Cricket just so happens to be going to the vet on Saturday so I'm going to talk to her about it, but I wanted others thoughts. I sent the neighbor a message that posted her post and asked her if she ever took her dogs out anywhere and she said they were always in their backyard. Thanks in advance.

| I totally understand. Lepto is getting bad in my area and my vet used to say not necessary and now recommends. Eek. So hard. |
