| early kidney disease Does anyone have any suggestions for a homemade diet for my female. She was diagnosed with early early kidney disease. She will be 13 in Oct this year. I currently feed her wet canned food with a little added water for more moisture. I was just looking into what other options are out there for her. thanks |

| There are people on here with a ton of experience and knowledge about these diets.....someone will come on and do an excellent job of informing you all about the diet your baby will thrive on..... |

I am all for home cooking, but in the interim while you're working on the diet and making decisions, feeding one of the RX kidney diets is a good choice. Royal Canin makes one, as well as Hills and several other companies. You can purchase a few cans from your vet to get you started, and your vet can also write a prescription for the food and you can purchase from Chewy.com or other online companies at a better price. Hope this helps. Diana | |
