| For those with bigger yorkies,, how much food? I have always been the one who fills the bowl up, ( maybe 1 cup) and occasionally a little more if I notice it is gone, But lately,,I've noticed Bailey is getting a little THICK,, daddy has been calling him " Fat Back" anyhow, I know how important it is for them to not be overweight. SO my question is How much do you feed your bigger dogs,, a day. Bailey has never been one to eat when I put the food out,, he picks all day,,or sometimes I notice he will eat the entire bowl, then not even go near it for hours. He is probably pushing 13 pounds,, and still very solid and muscular, but his back is getting a little wide. So how much do you feed your bigg'ens?

| I free feed my dogs and give them a half tin each of LiL Ceasars a day. Chachi is my bigger yorkie he is 9lbs. He is long and lean though and I am not worried about his weight yet. It seemed like both my dogs gained weight when they were eating the Royal Canin hard but I have now changed their dry food.

| I have a somewhat simlilar question, I leave Tiki's food out for him all the time, when it gets low, I refill it. He seems to be eating on a regualr basis and doing fine this way, but is this way recommened? My husband and I both work all day so we can't feed him 4 or 5 times a day, and my breeder recommended the all day thing to me. Does anyone else do this? |

| I think its fine to feed them that way, I just wonder if I'm giving him too much I usually put in one cup,,then if I notice it's gone I'll add maybe 1/2 cup more,, is that too much.. he is getting wide!
