| concerned about max dry skin Max is turning 1yr old january 26 so i began to change his puppy food to adult food instead 2 1/2 weeks ago. I fed him merrick grain free puppy plate classic , i switched it to merrick classic grain free turkey formula and Ive noticed his skin has gotten dry and hes scratching more then the usual. By his right thigh i saw this dry almost bald spot i touched it n the hair would just come out with a touch , im concerned because he was fine before switching his food. Should i try the salmon formula instead? or switch brands. I was told i should buy vets best conditioner moisture mist conditioner for the dryness. any suggestions?

| Hair coming out with just a touch? If it were the food I'd bet it would be all over his body not just by this leg. I'm thinking maybe something irritated him there and he scratched until it scabbed over. Whenever Uni gets an itchy spot I put on coconut oil and if she keeps licking it, I cover the area with a shirt or bandage/tape to keep her from licking.
