| How much of the bone should they eat? I know not to give cooked bones, but I will give smoked bones and raw bones. When the bones are hollow, she will just sort of knaw on them, but when I give her smoked knee caps, she will keep going until she is really in the marrow of the bone and has eaten well past the smoked part and the outer part. Is this safe? I know it's safe in terms of nutrition, but is it safe in terms of digestion and for her teeth? I always take it away before she eats the whole thing but she would if I let her! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Are you saying there is soft marrow? I always scrape most of the marrow out since it's really almost pure fat.

| When I give the bones like what you are describing, I scrape out the fatty inside as well. But when I give a bone like a kneecap, can she eat the entire bone? |
