| Pet Kelp Does anyone use or heard of Pet Kelp? I have read about this in different magazines and not sure if it is worth the cost. www.petkelp.com

If your dog is getting enough iodine in their diet already, I wouldn't give them a kelp supplement, especially with the way that pollution levels are rising in our oceans each year. If they are not getting enough iodine, I'd ask my vet for the name of an iodine supplement that isn't contaminated with mercury. | |

| I just save the used kombu and bonito flakes when I make dashi. I strain it out of the dashi and then bake the kombu and bonito in the oven. The dogs LOVE it! The kombu is dirt cheap, about $1 per bag. The bonito is more pricey about $10-15/bag but you don't need much and one bag lasts me about a year.
